4 Database Laws Every Agent Should Adhere to

 Here are four things you need to use your contact database successfully.

Today I’m discussing the four laws of the database and why you need to heed each of them to successfully use that database to benefit your business:

“Add every person you encounter to your database.”

1. Build your database. This is the most obvious one, but with so many options, many agents are unsure which CRM to choose. Some say that the best CRM is the one you’re currently using. The point is that you need a place to store all of the contact information for all of your clients.

2. Feed it daily. You need to add names to your database every day. Add every name and email of every person you encounter.

3. Communicate systematically. The idea is to ensure that everyone in your database is hearing from you regularly in a consistent and systematic way. I like to email my database twice a month, text them once a month, and give them a call at least once a quarter.

4. Follow up on leads as they come in. Building a great database that brings you business only works when you follow up with those good leads you get.
