St. Louis-based homebuilding company, A. J. Borzillo, is looking to move forward with plans on a high-end residential development in Sunset Hills with their recent purchase of a 24-acre property next to the Sunset Country Club.
A. J. Borzillo recently purchased the undeveloped property from Neff Property LLC for an undisclosed amount. The land is located at 12322 Robyn Rd, just to the north of the Sunset Country Club, and was listed for $3.75 million.
The projected development will be comprised of 13 to 15 custom built units. A. J. Borzillo president, Mike Borzillo, said that each home will be on a one or two acre lot. Prices are planned to start at $1.5 million. The project is up for city approval in May, with building planned to begin in July pending said approval.
This is not the first attempt at developing this property. Back in 2007, Stacy Hastie of Environmental Operations Inc. had a plan to build a gated community on the site with Fischer & Frichtel Homes. Benton Homebuilders also made proposals to develop the site. Borzillo believes the current project is more in sync with the community and, therefore, more likely to gain approval than these prior proposals.
